Incidental Fear of Numbers

Can there be value in loitering, doodling, and idling given contemporary imperatives for measured advancement? What are the physical and narrative implications of circling as opposed to forward movement? How does looping transport? What traces are left? This evening length performance, directed by Leslie Seiters, is a collaboration between dancers of San Diego’s Little Known Dance Theater and Tijuana based Lux Boreal. Incidental Fear of Numbers considers the exchange between audience and performer, precision and abandon, function and futility, density and spaciousness with movement, sound, time, light and the body’s relation to the materials that surround us and make us up.
